Our Club Projects

Our major charity for the 2011-2012 Lions Year is Endometriosis Southland. Endometriosis New Zealand Southland Support is the local support group for women and their family and friends to help share ideas and gather strength and information regarding life with Endometriosis.
Endometriosis New Zealand is a non-government funded charitable trust promoting awareness of endometriosis, providing information, education and raising funds to support endometriosis related initiatives, including its unique programmes and services.

Hearing Southland 2010-2011:

Our major charity for the 2010-2011 Lions year was Hearing Southland. Over the year our club raised money to help Hearing Southland give their rooms a much needed upgrade. Photos below show a work in progress.

Over the year we managed to raise over $3000 for Hearing Southland through our various fundraisers including a BBQ at The Warehouse in August, a Quiz Night and Buzzy Bee sales in November and our biggest fundraiser, selling cheese rolls in March-April.

And it wasn't just Hearing Southland that benefitted from our fundraising in the 2010-2011 Lions year we also supported:
